everything & nothing

just a quick post to say that we are lovin' our summer! It's been busy and relaxed, too. Sometimes I leave my camera at home and, truthfully, even when I do get good photos, I'd rather be outside than inside scrapping & blogging.

We've had VBS, a family camping trip with day at amusement park, fun outings, and we spend most afternoons at the pool. But our absolute favorite destination? Home. We love our new place, the neighborhood, and our new friends who live nearby. Most evenings find us here grilling and watching the kids run around playing.

It may seem like nothing, but it is truly everything.

what we're up to...

We visited my cousin's new baby and she is darling. Chloe was completely mesmerized. The baby's big sister and Chloe finally got detached and spent a wonderful afternoon together (cracks me up that Chloe practically tackled big sis to get near the baby!)

and has it come to this? Four year olds intently and grimly reading the daily news? I looked over and saw Chloe going through the paper as if she were actually reading it...probably same expression she sees me wear when I read it.

amazing weekend!

We traveled to Holland, Michigan - one of our favorite destinations! It's a one day drive and we take the motorhome and stay in a great campground. We were blessed with beautiful sunny days to enjoy the beach, pool, hot tub, bike rides, and some much needed family time.

The highlight is getting to reunite with the Vanfarowe Family - we met Mary on the adoption trip and their daughter is from the same SWI program (Tuan Feng) as Chloe. It is just a joy to catch up with them and have the girls together.

I cannot get over how Chloe can assemble things! Maybe it's because it's challenging for me. Really....she did most of it herself with just a little direction and strength from me. Now we can play!

(would have been even easier without all the hair in her eyes. sigh.)
