dancin' away the winter blues

This is Chloe's second year of doing LittlePeopleCreativeWorkshop. Last year, she mostly sat in my lap for the 'informance'. This year...she was a much more enthusiastic participant, eager to perform and show all she's learned. This program is an extra at her preschool and it is a combination of dance, theater, and storytelling. Chloe adores it (and her lovely sweet teacher, Miss Liz). The informance was really a lot of fun - they were well prepared, and each one did a fabulous job today! Chloe has become quite the little actress at home as well, we play charades as a family and Grant & I get such a kick out of her pantomine skills. She also enjoys to act out Bible stories.

In an effort to keep her moving, I took her to a gymnastics class this week. It was a surprise trip for her after school, and she was somewhat apprehensive at first, but totally sparkled and bounced through the whole class - I was so pleased to see her mood boosted by the movement and fun.

All this PLUS playing in the snow needs some fuel: we've been doing a lot of baking this week. We've made everyone's favorite cookie: Grant - Oatmeal Raisin, Janelle - Molasses Crinkles, and Chloe - Chocolate Chip.

Kiara loves gymnastics too, although, I must admit, I watch with my heart in my mouth for almost an hour! lol!
